Blessed

Have you ever thought about how blessed you really are? I know some of you are saying, " not everyone is blessed", but everyone is blessed. Some are less fortunate than others, but they are still blessed. If you live in America, you are blessed. We are free to choose the life we want to live. Now, living in America is not the topic of this blog. It's just about how blessed I feel.

Driving to lunch today, I thought about my life. I thought about my kids, my job, my friends, and my future. I may not have everything my heart longs for, but I'm content with what I have. I can lay my head down at night in a warm house. I have two beautiful daughters who love me. I have a great job that has exceeded any expectation I have ever dreamed. I have to oppertunity to do something with my life. I have a bright future. I am blessed.

I know that at times things seem to not go your way and things are crashing down around you. I have come to learn that everything will be all right. You are blessed with being able to breath another breath. You are blessed to live the life you live even though it may not be a great life.

God has blessed you with life. He has giving you the ability and knowledge to love him. That is a blessing in itself.

I think about the men and women who are not able to have children of their own. I know that I am so blessed to have two of my own, reguardless of the situation our lives are in. They love me unconditionally and bring so muh joy to my life. I think about the ones who have lost their jobs or have been hurt and can't work. I know where I am going with my job and the security of having a job. I have a nice car that is reliable. Some don't. I have wonderful friends that love and adore me. Who give of themselves when I need them. A wondeful family who does the same. How can I not be happy with all that I have? No, happiness does not come in material things, however, this world is materialistic. My life isn't blessed because of those things. It is blessed because God has control.

One thing that I have learned in the last week, is that God is over all things. Why are we worried about our lives and what happens? He is in control! If you give it all to him, you will be alright!
With all this said, everyone is blessed with something in your life, big or small.

My challenge to you know is think about the things you are blessed with. Thank God for allowing those things is your life because you never know when you will lose them. My life is blessed and I am thankful!
